Moreland "M.O." Bazemore, 82, died Tuesday, September 02, 2008 in Savannah.
Mr. Bazemore was born in Screven County on January 19, 1926, the son of the late Thomas and Dicy Bazemore. M.O. was a 1943 graduate of Sylvania High School and was the President of their annual reunions. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He was employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber, retiring after over thirty-one years. M.O. was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church in Screven County.
Mr. Bazemore is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Ernestine Bazemore; daughters, Marcia Longwater and husband Paul of Savannah and Lynn Harsey and husband Richard of Middleburg, FL; grandson, Matt Hutton and wife Lisa of Savannah; granddaughter, Melissa Hutton of Savannah; great-grandson, Noah Hutton and sisters, Sylvia Blakey and Nell Bazemore, both of Sylvania.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Thursday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial: 3:00 PM Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Screven County.
